Newly taken photos and a handwritten profile of Izuki Shimoda, a new 5th generation member joining the idol group Hinatazaka46, have been released.
Shimoda was born on December 26, 2006 and is 18 years old. She is from Chiba Prefecture. "People around me often tell me that they are always smiling and smile when they are with me, so I would be happy if I could make you all smile too! I will run at full speed so that I can be recognized by all the Ohisama members and catch up with my seniors! Everyone! I look forward to working with you from now on!" she wrote.
The 5th generation members were selected to join Hinatazaka46 after auditions held in August last year. Eleven members passed, but one declined, leaving just 10 members in the final group.
Starting at noon on March 24th, new photos and handwritten profiles will be released every day at noon for five consecutive days. She will also appear at the "6th Hina Birthday Festival" live concert to be held at Yokohama Stadium (Naka-ku, Yokohama) on April 5th and 6th.
