Mikami Sensei:Viewers react to Mikami (Tori Matsuzaka)'s final lesson (spoilers included)

The final episode of the Sunday Theatre drama " Mikami Sensei " (TBS, Sunday 9pm) starring Tori Matsuzaka was broadcast on March 23rd. Voices of viewers hoping for a sequel spread on social media.

The final episode depicted the day of the graduation ceremony for class 3-2. When asked by the students if he could say one last thing, Mikami (Matsuzaka) replied, "This past year, I've only told you one thing. 'Think. Use your own head.' Every time I told you to 'think,' I thought too. I often thought that this might not be possible."

Mikami said that the year had been more difficult than he had expected, but that the students in class 3-2 had come up with incredible solutions. "Each answer that you came up with brought major problems for the country into the light of day. You showed me that this was possible. It was a perfect embodiment of the phrase 'personal is political.'"

However, he also pointed out, "The final solution is wonderful. But what's even more wonderful is that you now have countless unanswered questions that you need to think about for the rest of your lives. These questions may sometimes be so difficult that you want to give up, and you may feel despair."

"But I would be happy if you remember when that time comes. That there is someone here who was more excited than anyone else to know that this is inside your heads. Because the unanswered questions in your heads are the future itself. And the answers you choose in the midst of your suffering will surely be ones that sympathize with the weak. You can do it. I believe that. Congratulations on your graduation," he said, looking into the faces of each student.
