On March 18, Fuji Television announced that it would be renewing its weekday live information program "Live News It!" (Monday to Friday, 3:45 p.m.) from April. The theme of the program is "peace of mind, trust, and satisfaction," and it will "distinguish itself from the mixed bag of online media and SNS, and pursue the origins of television news based on down-to-earth interviews and solid facts."
Former NHK announcer Aoi Minoru, who serves as the main anchor, said, "Now that I'm in my second year as a anchor, I feel like I have no choice but to do it. I want to be honest and forthright, not lie and say I don't know what I don't know. I think that will lead to trust and peace of mind."
Miyaji Manami, the announcer who serves as the main anchor along with Aoi, commented, "As trust in Fuji TV is declining, we want to restore that trust and communicate carefully. I believe that peace of mind and trust are the same thing. We can trust because we feel safe. We feel safe because we trust. I believe that this leads to satisfaction, so I think that is the most important thing we want to keep in mind as a news program."
It was also announced that announcer Masaharu Miyake will be the program's new sportscaster starting March 18th.
