It has been revealed that a 20th anniversary project for the popular anime "Eureka Seven" will be launched. The series will celebrate its 20th anniversary since the TV anime aired in April. A key visual drawn by character designer Kenichi Yoshida, a logo design by Tsuyoshi Kusano, who has been in charge of design work throughout the series, and a promotional video featuring the theme song "DAYS" by the band "FLOW" have been released. Sanpei Yuuko, who plays Renton Thurston, and Nazuka Kaori, who plays Eureka, have both provided comments.
Sanpei commented, "Congratulations on the 20th anniversary of Eureka Seven! Just like Renton, who falls in love with a cute girl and sets out on a journey, only to be overwhelmed by the world, I too was frantically dubbing the show while being tossed about by big waves. Eureka is definitely my youth itself. Everyone who was Renton back then. Everyone who thought Renton was dazzling. Everyone who watched the show wondering what kind of anime it was. Thank you as always for your great love for Eureka Seven. Let's celebrate and have fun! Eureka! I love you!! I can fly!!"
Nazuka said, "20th anniversary...it feels strange. I was 20 years old then...20 years have passed since I was born and met Eureka. And 20 years have passed since we met...In these 20 years, I have been shown so many sights that I never imagined. 20 years of walking together and fighting together...looking back, I have only had happy memories. I am truly grateful. Congratulations on your 20th anniversary! And thank you."
The story of "Eureka Seven" is about Renton, who lost his heroic father Adrock, and the LFO (general term for giant humanoid robots) Nirvash and Eureka, a girl from the anti-government organization Gekkostate, who appear before him and get caught up in a battle... The TV anime aired from 2005 to 2006.
