In the opening title sequence of this episode, Utsusemi was titled "Utsusemi (flashback)", following the previous week's episode 10. In the previous week's episode 9, Utsusemi and Shinnosuke (Kai Inowaki) tried to escape, but were quickly caught by pursuers and were subjected to severe punishment, but Tsutae said that Utsusemi was in good health.
