It has been announced that the TV anime "Chibi Maruko-chan" (Fuji TV, Sunday 6pm), based on the popular manga by Momoko Sakura, will be broadcasting "Maruko's Slightly Scary and Mysterious Summer Story" for five consecutive weeks starting from August 3. In the latter half of the episodes aired from August 3 to 31, a "cool" episode that will make you feel cool during the hot summer will be aired.
On August 3rd, episode 1491, "Maruko Wants to Make a Tsukumo God," will be broadcast, on the 10th, episode 1492, "Maruko Gets Lost in a Parallel World," on the 17th, episode 1493, "Will Hamaji Pick Up the Cursed Notepad?", on the 24th, episode 1494, "The Yokai Pillow Return Appears!?", and on the 31st, episode 1495, "The Disappearing Ventriloquist Doll."
Fuji TV's Yasunari Maeda commented, "This year we have prepared a summer-only episode that is unique to this season. We will be bringing you a slightly mysterious summer tale that is a little different in style from the Chibi Maruko-chan stories for five consecutive weeks. We hope you enjoy!"
