Character and mobile suit (MS) design drawings for "Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Wing -Operation 30th-," the 30th anniversary video for the anime "Mobile Suit Gundam Wing," which began airing on April 7, 1995, have been released. The video, directed by Toru Iwasawa, is also notable for the appearance of mobile suits and characters that have not yet appeared in the anime, such as the new cloaked Wing Gundam Zero Cloaked Custom, Adin Low, Heero Yuy's foster father who taught him how to survive, and Zhang Wufei's wife Mei Lan.
The design drawings of five Gundam pilots including Heero Yuy, Relena Dorian, Zechs Marquis, and Imo Ran have been released. The design drawings of the five MS are Wing Gundam Zero Cloaked Custom, Gundam Deathscythe Hell Cloaked Custom, Gundam Heavyarms Custom Cloaked Custom, Gundam Sandrock Custom Cloaked Custom, and Altron Gundam Cloaked Custom, all of which are wearing cloaks.
"Mobile Suit Gundam Wing" was broadcast from 1995 to 1996 as the second installment of the "Alternative Series." It depicts the battles of five young Gundam pilots. It was also the first Gundam work to be broadcast in the United States. It was also announced that the theatrical version of "Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Endless Waltz," "Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Endless Waltz Special Edition," will be screened in Dolby Cinema for two weeks only from September 5th to 18th.
