The final episode of the drama series "Private Banker" starring Toshiaki Karasawa (TV Asahi, Thursdays at 9pm) will be broadcast on March 6th. Special guests include Hideo Nakano and Yohei Kawakami of the rock band "Alexandros" who performs the theme song.
The ugly nature of the family is revealed when a succession dispute occurs between Mikoto (Mari Natsuki), vice president of the Tenguuji Aina Group, and her eldest son and managing director Tsutomu (Junpei Yasui). Seeing this, Mikoto's husband Takehiro (Isao Hashizume), who is also the president of the group, makes a decision and tells private banker Anno (Karasawa).
Meanwhile, the fact that Mikoto has been illegally acquiring land becomes public, and the group's stock price plummets. Minamino (Takashi Ukaji), a managing director at Tokugawa Bank, the group's main bank, demands full repayment of her personal loans. Other banks also demand full repayment of their loans, and the total amount reaches about 100 billion yen.
The majority of the Tenguuji family's assets are stocks. The amount of cash they have available is nowhere near enough to cover the repayment amount. Mikoto asks her family for help, but her eldest daughter Saori (Anna Tsuchiya) and others are cold towards her, saying that it was Mikoto who sowed the seeds.
However, Anno tells him that if Mikoto is unable to repay the loan and the bank repossesss the company's shares and puts them on the market, the company will be in danger of being taken over. Tsutomu introduces Mikoto to his schoolmate Takazaki (Nakano Hideo), who works for a foreign fund company.
Takazaki says that he needs the power of the Tenmiyaji Aina Group for the business plan underway at his company, so he offers Tsutomu a favorable deal: he will buy out his shares for 100 billion yen, and then buy them back once the group has fully recovered.
Mikoto is wary, but she has no choice to escape the predicament. Takazaki's company has a track record of investment, so it doesn't seem suspicious. However, to be on the safe side, Anno's assistants Kumiko (Honami Suzuki) and Osamu Mikoshiba (Shuhei Uesugi) each offer to investigate. Then they discover an unexpected truth...
At the same time, Mikoto makes a rare visit to Takehiro herself, but this incident marks the start of the biggest battle in the Tenmuji family history between Takehiro and Mikoto.
