" Omusubi " is the NHK Asadora drama series starring Kanna Hashimoto . The story of the heroine, born in 1989, who connects people's hearts and futures as a nutritionist with the "gal spirit" of valuing her own individuality at all times, has only four weeks left. Starting on March 31st, the 112th morning Asadora, "Anpan," will replace Omusubi. We would like to introduce what kind of drama it will be, along with the life story of the main character, Mio Imada .
◇ Takumi Kitamura plays the role of " Takashi Yanase " and the story depicts how he became "Anpanman"
" Anpan" is based on the married couple Takashi Yanase(1919-2013) and Nobu Komatsu(1918-1993), the manga artist and picture book writer who created "Anpanman." It is a "story of love and courage" that will make you feel the joy of living, depicting how these two, who were once nobody, overcame all sorts of rough seas to become "Anpanman," the embodiment of "unreversible justice."
As mentioned above, the heroine of this work is Nobu Komatsu Nobu, and will be played by Imada, who was selected from an audition that had 3,365 applicants. This is the first time in three works that a heroine has been selected through an audition, since Shuri in the NHK Asadora drama "Boogie Woogie" in the second half of 2023.
In addition, Kitamura Takumi was chosen to play the role of Yanai Takumi Kitamura, who is based on Takashi Yanai . Imada and Kitamura have worked together in the movie " Tokyo Revengers(Torebe)" series, and it will be interesting to see what kind of married couple they will create in the world of the Asadora.
The script will be written by Miho Nakazono, who is known for the "Doctor X: Surgeon Daimon Michiko" (TV Asahi) series. The music will be handled by composer and musician Izutsu Akio. After debuting as an artist, Izutsu began working as a soundtrack and commercial composer, and has worked on many dramas, including "99.9 -Criminal Lawyer-" (TBS), "Tokusatsu Gagaga" (NHK), "Hakozume: Fight! Police Box Girls" (NTV), and "Minna no Ou R" (TV Asahi).
The narrator will be NHK announcer Risa Hayashida, and the theme song will be the new song "Tamamono" by rock band "RADWIMPS." "Tamamono" is said to be a song that brightens up the world of "Anpan."
Besides Imada and Kitamura, the main cast includes Kase Ryo, Eguchi Noriko, Kawai Yumi, Yuumi Kawai, Nanoka Hara Kotaro, Asada Miyoko, Hosoda Kaito, Ninomiya Kazunari, Matsushima Motoki Nakazawa, Naho Toda Motoki, Toda Kazunari Ninomiya, and Nanako Matsushima Yutaka Takenouchi, with Takahashi Fumiya and Abe Sadao also appearing.
◇Led by a heroine who powerfully overcomes the rough seas of life
From here on, I would like to introduce the life of the heroine, Nobu, including the time period. By the way, there is no doubt that Nobu was modeled after Nobu Komatsu, but in the drama, the story is boldly reconstructed as a tale of her turbulent life with her husband (played by Takashi Yanase, played by Takashi Yanai in the drama) during a turbulent era.
Nobu's character is the eldest of three sisters, raised in Kochi with the love of her grandparents and parents. She is fast enough to win the prefectural tournament, and is full of energy and speed, and is a heroine who overcomes the rough waves of life with power. She is also called "Hachikin Onobu" and "Idaten Onobu" because of her tomboyish and strong-willed personality, and after meeting the slightly timid and lacking in confidence, she lives with him through turbulent times, encouraging and leading him at all times.
Although it has the same "food title," the story begins at the beginning of the Showa era, which is quite different from "Omusubi," which started the Heisei era.
There was a girl running at incredible speed through the streets of Kochi. Her name was Asada Nobu, also known as "Hachikin Onobu." Meanwhile, at the same time, Takashi Yanai, whose father died of illness at a young age, was taken in by his uncle and met Nobu there. What brought the two together was a Anpan. As the footsteps of war drew near, Nobu, who was attending a girls' school, became a fanatical militarist girl like the others around her, and soon the war broke out and Takashi was sent to war.
After graduating from a girls' school, Nobu's values had all changed during the war, and she decided that she had to "find out for herself what was right," so she joined a newspaper company as its first female reporter. After the war, Taka quit his job as a junk collector and joined the company, and the two were put in charge of the same magazine. Taka wanted to become a manga artist in Tokyo, but was worried about whether he could make a living. Nobu told Taka, "You come later. I'll go to Tokyo first and wait for you," and quit her job at the newspaper and moved to Tokyo. Taka followed Nobu, and they began living together in a rundown six-tatami-mat apartment.
There is no bath and the toilet is shared. There is a hole in the ceiling, so on rainy days you have to use an umbrella, but on clear nights you can see the stars. Interested in this lifestyle, she says, "I want to be with this person who can enjoy himself in any environment," and the two get married. However, it will be a while before "Te no Hira wo Taiyo ni" and "Anpanman" are released to the world...
It will be broadcast on NHK General TV from March 31st, Monday to Saturday at 8:00 a.m. and other channels.
