Singer Yukari Ito will appear on Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi) on February 24th at 1pm. Ito, now 77 years old, has been singing since she was 6 years old for over 70 years. She sent off her ex-husband Mitsuo Sagawa in April last year, and singer Mari Sono in July.
Ito and Nakao Mie had been together since they were teenagers. When they visited Sono's room before he passed away, they found a collection of stage costumes that he wanted Ito and Nakao Mie to wear. They performed this time wearing the most glamorous costumes among them, in memory of Sono. It seems that Sono had been working hard at rehabilitation, wanting to sing with "The Three Girls" again. Ito also spoke of his wish to perform "The Three Girls" again.
Coincidentally, Sagawa passed away on Sono's birthday, so she had mixed feelings about it. The film introduces an impressive image of Sagawa, who appeared on "Tetsuko's Room" with her daughter, laughing and talking with humor.
