The event "GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE -FINAL-" for the popular anime series "Gundam" opened on February 21st at the Shinjuku Sumitomo Building Triangle Plaza (Shinjuku, Tokyo). New products such as Gunpla (plastic models) from the latest series "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX" will be on display. The event will run until the 24th.
It was announced that the White Gundam and Zaku (GQ) (tentative) Gunpla (plastic model) will be released from Bandai Spirits' "HG" series, and was exhibited as a reference. Details will be announced in the future. New products such as the Red Gundam, Light Cannon, and Military Police Zaku from the "HG" series will also be gathered together. The life-sized head of GQuuuuuuX, about 2.3 meters tall, is also one of the highlights.
There will also be a Gunpla model of the RX-78F00/E Gundam (equipped with EX-001 Glass Feather) that will appear in a completely new video at the Gundam series pavilion "GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE PAVILION" at the Expo 2025, Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, Kansai. The "EXPO2025 1/144 RX-78F00/E Gundam (equipped with EX-001 Glass Feather) Chemical Recycle Ver." is an "eco" Gunpla model that uses chemically recycled resin made from recycled plastic, and reuses used runners (frames for plastic models) collected by Bandai Spirits. It is said to be of comparable quality to regular Gunpla models.
The Gunpla "RG 1/144 Wing Gundam Zero" of Wing Gundam Zero from "Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Gundam Wing" was also unveiled. Wing Gundam Zero is three-dimensionalized with a completely new design, and the wing binder, which is the key to its flying ability, is equipped with an original gimmick unique to the "RG" series.
Also on display for the first time are the "HG 1/144 Gallus J," a Gunpla model of Gallus J from "Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ," and the "MGSD Gundam Aerial," a Gunpla model of the Gundam Aerial from "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury."
It was also announced that a Gunpla model of the Nu Gundam from "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack" would be released as "PG UNLEASHED 1/60 Nu Gundam" from the "PG UNLEASHED" series. The product was not on display, it was only announced. More details will be announced in the future.
"GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE -FINAL-" will also be held at Grand Front Osaka (Kita-ku, Osaka) from April 1st to 14th.
