The number of moviegoers exceeded 1.38 million. According to the movie attendance ranking (surveyed by Kogyo Tsushinsha), the number of moviegoers over the three-day weekend of February 7-9 was about 112,000, and the box office revenue was about 191 million yen, ranking it 4th.
On the 11th, it was announced that the MX4 and 4DX versions of the early theatrical version of "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuX", "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuX -Beginning-", will be screened from February 22nd.
On the 12th, it was announced that the anime "Gamera -Rebirth-" from the monster movie "Gamera" series will be broadcast on NHK General TV every Saturday at 11:45 pm starting in April. The anime, which began streaming on Netflix in September 2023, will be broadcast as a TV anime.

On the 14th, it was announced that Toei Animation's short animated film "Candy" (directed by Nishio Daisuke), which was also nominated for the Best Animated Short Film at the 97th Academy Awards in the United States, will be released in theaters in Japan. It will be released in theaters for two weeks only from the 28th. As the film is Toei Animation's first to be nominated for an Academy Award, many movie fans expressed their desire for it to be released in theaters, so it was quickly decided to screen it at a limited number of 19 theaters, mainly T-Joy, including Shinjuku Wald 9 (Shinjuku, Tokyo). This is the first time that Toei Animation will screen a short film on its own at a box office.
On the 14th, the main visual and trailer for the third chapter of the latest installment of the remake series of the popular anime "Space Battleship Yamato", "Be Forever Yamato: Rebel 3199", "Ultramarine Asteroid", were released. On February 15th, it was announced that the second season of the anime "Bocchi the Rock!", based on the four-frame manga by Hamaji Aki currently being serialized in "Manga Time Kirara MAX" (Houbunsha), will be produced. The first season was directed by Keiichiro Saito, but Yamamoto Yusuke, who was assistant director in the first season, will be the director for the second season. Following the first season, it will be produced by CloverWorks.
On the 15th, it was announced that the light novel "Death Game: Eat a Meal" by MF Bunko J (KADOKAWA) will be adapted into a TV anime series and will begin airing in January 2026.
