It has been announced that the fourth chapter of the completely new animated film "Princess Principal Crown Handler," based on the TV anime "Princess Principal," which depicts the exploits of girls who engage in espionage activities while hiding as high school girls, will be released on May 23rd. In Chapter 4, Team Shirohato, torn between the Kingdom and the Republic, is gradually cornered. After failing to asylum Princess Mary and being captured by the Ministry of Interior, the Duke of Normandy learns that they are spies for the Republic and orders them to become double agents for both the Kingdom and the Republic. The Princess is placed under the control of the Duke of Normandy, while the other four are temporarily released under constant surveillance. Meanwhile, this incident has led to the Republic suspecting Team Shirohato of being double agents, and Control has given them a new mission to verify the truth of the matter. It is to contact an important person who could shake up the Republic's economy. Ange, Dorothy, Beatrice, and Chise begin infiltrating a certain factory.
"Princess Principal" is set in London, the capital of the Kingdom of Albion, which is divided into East and West by a huge wall at the end of the 19th century, and depicts the exploits of a group of girls who engage in espionage activities while hiding as high school students. The TV anime aired from July to September 2017. "Crown Handler" is a completely new sequel to the TV anime, and a total of six chapters will be released in theaters. Chapter 1 was released on February 11, 2021, Chapter 2 on September 23, 2021, and Chapter 3 on April 7, 2023.
