Talent Jun Komori appeared on the 8th episode of Abema's variety show "Women Who Can't Be Deceived," which aired on February 7th.
Komori is a pioneer of the gal model genre who debuted as a high school student in the late 2000s. She was at the height of her popularity as a model and talent, but took a break from show business after a major scandal in 2012.
The program visits Komori's workplace, who became a nail artist after taking a break from showbiz and is now the owner of two nail salons. Despite being an owner, Komori also works as a nail artist, and says that the turmoil at the time has changed her outlook on work.
Komori said, "I'm not doing this just for the money. I only want to work within the scope of what I can see." "I'm doing field work of my own volition," he said. "I will never forget that I caused a commotion, and I keep it firmly in my heart, and now I want to live my life with my feet firmly on the ground."
Immediately after the incident, Komori stood in front of the camera and apologized in her own words, and reflected, "I'm really glad I was able to apologize at that time.I have to be confident in being a mother to my children, so I'm glad I didn't run away."
She continued, "I couldn't say anything to my children, I couldn't teach them anything. If I hadn't apologized, I wouldn't be able to tell them to apologize if something happened," saying that it was important for her to be consistent as a mother.
Komori revealed that after all her work was canceled and it became a big fuss that involved those around her, "I told my husband that we should get a divorce." Her husband, former model and car dealer, Ryo Imai, said that he told her, "Isn't there no point in getting a divorce?" She talked about their conversation at the time, saying, "If I wasn't a celebrity, I wouldn't die," and "I didn't think of a pessimistic future at all."
At the end of the close-up, Komori spoke of her future goals, saying, "I want my family to continue to be healthy and grow up. I want us to live together in harmony, helping each other without ever being separated."
