It was announced on February 11th that a tribute concert for the legendary guitarist Jeff Beck, who passed away in January 2023, will be broadcast and streamed on WOWOW in May. The concert was held at Ariake Arena in Tokyo on the same day.
The performance was called "A Tribute to Jeff Beck by Char with HOTEI and Tak Matsumoto featuring The Jeff Beck Band." Three of Japan's leading guitarists, Char, Tomoyasu Hotei, and Takahiro Matsumoto, appeared, along with bassist Rhonda Smith, who has supported Jeff Beck's live performances since 2012, and other members of The Jeff Beck Band.
He performed some of the signature songs of Jeff Beck, who is known as one of the "three greatest guitarists in the world" along with Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page, and is loved by many rock fans.
