Actor Takeshita Keiko will be appearing on Kuroyanagi Tetsuko's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), which will be broadcast at 1:00 pm on February 11th.
Takeshita-san is still active in movies and on stage. He was close friends with Nishida Toshiyuki, who passed away last year, and they co-starred in a radio drama for about 16 years. The day after he heard the news of his death, he visited Nishida-san's home and said his final goodbyes. He talks about his memories with Nishida-san, with whom he has co-starred since their debut as university students.
Now 71 years old, he has passed the 70th mark and is paying more attention to his health. His biggest secret to good health is walking his dog every day, and he also gets regular foot checkups. In recent years, he has been the honorary director of the Gifu Wood Museum in Gifu Prefecture, where he spreads the importance of wood education and interacts with nature. He says his current goal is to climb a mountain on his own two feet.
