Grand Blue:TV anime Season 2 additional cast members include Aya Yamane, Sumire Morohoshi, and Yoshino Aoyama

It has been revealed that voice actors Aya Yamane Yamane, Sumire Morohoshi, and Yoshino Aoyama will appear in Season 2 of the TV anime "Grand Blue," which is based on a manga currently being serialized in "Good! Afternoon" (Kodansha).

Yamane, who plays Sakurako Busujima, a first-year student at Aomi Women's University, commented, "It's hard not to laugh every time we record, it's a really fun set with the same atmosphere as the anime. Outside the dubbing booth, there is always a lot of alcohol, snacks, and goods (of course, we all toast after recording), it's such a lively place...! I'm so moved. Morohoshi, who plays Iori's younger sister Kitahara Shiori, said, "It was a lot of fun to jump into such an exciting team full of laughter with Shiori. I did my best to act as Shiori and keep up with the atmosphere of the work. I hope everyone enjoys it. Thank you for your support."

Aoyama, who plays Otoya Naomi, a high school student who works in the kitchen at Iori's part-time job, commented, "I don't know how many times I've heard the legend that 'Grand Blue is amazing'... but I never dreamed that I would jump into that world myself. Every time I record, my heart and eardrums tremble with the passionate energy of my seniors. Naomi is very refreshing and pure, and he is doing his best to shoulder the love part of this romantic comedy. I hope that his cute, cool, and straightforward charm will reach many people!"

"Grand Blue" is based on a manga written by Inoue, who is known for "Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu", and illustrated by Yoshioka. The story follows the protagonist, Kitahara Iori, who moves into his uncle's seaside house when he goes to university, where he meets passionate men who devote their youth to scuba diving and his cousin who grows beautifully. Season 1 of the TV anime aired from July to September 2018. A live-action movie starring actors Ryusei Ryo and Inukai Takato was released in August 2020 and also attracted attention.
