The popular manga " Undead Unluck " by Yoshifumi Tozuka , which has also been adapted into a TV anime, reached its final chapter in issue 9 of the serialized magazine "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha), released on January 27th, bringing the curtain down on its roughly five-year run. The story was featured in the center color pages of the issue, with the headline "Immortal Unlucky Super Climax!!" The latest 25th volume of the manga was released on February 4th, with the 26th and final 27th volumes, as well as the third novel, due for release in April.
" Undead Unluck" began serialization in the magazine in January 2020. The story depicts the unusual buddy duo of Fuko, a girl with the ability of unluck that makes her resigned to her death, and Andy, a man with the ability of immortality (undead) that seeks death, as they face numerous enemies and the mysteries of the world. The series won first place in the comics category of the Next Manga Awards 2020.
The TV anime series aired from October 2023 to March 2024. There is also talk of a one-hour special depicting the "Winter Arc" being broadcast in the winter of 2025.
