A press conference was held for the 22nd installment of the popular anime series "PreCure: Idol PreCure with You," featuring Misato Matsuoka, who plays Cure Idol/Sakura Uta, Minami Takahashi, who plays Cure Ink/Soukaze Nana, and Natsumi Takamori, who plays Cure Kyun Kyun/Shiu Kokoro. The motif of the 22nd installment is "idols," and the theme is "Because you're here, I can shine and become stronger!". Matsuoka, who also appears in the currently airing 21st installment, "Wonderful Wonderful PreCure!" said, "I was surprised to see you at the end of the recording of "Wonderful PreCure !," and I couldn't believe it. I was in tears when I realized it. I've been watching PreCure since I was little, and I'm so happy to be able to become someone I look up to."
Matsuoka, who is known for her role as Tsubame Mizusaki in "Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!", plays Sakura Uta, a second-year junior high school student who loves to sing and whose idol smile transforms her into a fan service-giving Cure Idol. The catchphrase is "Singing with you, my heart sparkles! Smiling, Cure Idol!"
Matsuoka said about the character Uta she plays, "I just love singing. I turn my feelings in the moment into song. I often sing on the street, so it's the same for me. I live my life to the fullest in the moment. The charm of this character is that she changes constantly, from happy to sad to joker. She is full of sparkle, so I would be happy if I can deliver all of it to you." She added enthusiastically, "I am here because of the support of so many people. I will do my best to deliver to you the sparkle that I have received from so many people."
In "You and Idol PreCure♪," the legendary saviors, Idol PreCure, sing, dance, and give "fan service" for "you," the people they love, the people important to them, the people who support them, the people next to them, and the people in front of them, and your presence makes Idol PreCure shine brighter and stronger.
The series will be directed by Chiaki Kon, who has worked on "Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal," "Back Street Girls - Gokudols," and "Movie Happiness Charge Precure! The Ballerina of Doll Country," with Yoichi Kato in charge of series composition and Miho Sugimoto in charge of character design. The series will be broadcast on ABC TV and TV Asahi every Sunday at 8:30 a.m. starting February 2nd.
