It has been announced that a limited-time shop for the latest work in the popular anime series "Gundam," "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuX," will open on February 2nd at the Bandai Namco Cross Store Atre Akihabara in Akihabara, Tokyo. Original goods with newly drawn illustrations will be sold, including a square badge collection (660 yen) and name key chains (1,100 yen). There will also be a mini-game where you can win acrylic panels and other prizes.
The first part will run until April 10, and the second part will run from April 11 to May 18. The limited-time shop will also be open at the Namco Umeda store in Umeda, Osaka from May 24 to June 22, and at the Bandai Namco Cross Store Hakata in Fukuoka from June 28 to July 21.
"Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuX" will be broadcast as a TV anime series on the Nippon Television Network. Prior to the broadcast, a reconstructed version of some episodes, "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuX -Beginning-", will be screened at 426 theaters, including IMAX screenings, from January 17th.
"Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX" is the first collaboration between Sunrise, which is responsible for the "Gundam" series, and khara, known for the "Evangelion" series. Kazuya Tsurumaki will be the director, Yoji Enokido will be in charge of series composition, and Ikuto Yamashita will be in charge of mechanical design.
The story is about the protagonist, high school girl Amate Yuzuriha (Machu), who lives a peaceful life in a space colony floating in space, but after meeting a war refugee girl named Nyaan, she becomes embroiled in an illegal mobile suit duel competition, a clan battle... The protagonist's robot, GQuuuuuuX, is a mysterious state-of-the-art mobile suit piloted by Amate Yuzuriha, and participates in clan battles as a robot belonging to the Pomeranians.
