The drama series " Honnou Switch " (TV Asahi, Saturday 11pm) starring Kaito Miyachika of the popular group "Travis Japan" and actor Wakana Aoi will begin on January 11th. The series is based on the manga of the same name by KUJIRA (Kodansha). It depicts the "pure and sincere first love of adults" in which Hijiri Akiyama (played by Miyachika) and Koyori Hoshi (played by Aoi), childhood friends who have been like family for 26 years, spend a night together through an unexpected turn of events and once again come to terms with their sealed feelings for each other. The two stars have commented ahead of the broadcast.
Miyachika said, "Tonight is finally the first broadcast. I haven't seen the finished product yet, so I don't know what to expect, and I'm looking forward to it too. But I think there are many things to see in just this one episode. You've already seen some scenes in the teasers, but I'd be happy if everyone could find out how those scenes came to be. As for the highlights...I can't go into details yet, but I jumped (laughs)! Sei is flying, so please pay attention."
The theme song will be Travis Japan's new song "Say I do," and Miyachika said, "This broadcast will be the first time you hear the theme song. It's a song that will liven up ' Honnou Switch,' so I hope you'll look forward to it. Look forward to the exciting first broadcast!"
Aoi commented, "I've talked many times in press conferences and interviews about the kind of drama I want to make, but I haven't seen the finished product yet. So I'm nervous because I don't know if it's turned out exactly as expected. I'm looking forward to watching it for the first time together with all the viewers."
He then said, "I think the first episode is really full of twists and turns.There are many key scenes, but personally I think the highlight is the frustrating feeling that comes with falling in love as childhood friends.I think that's also a good thing about the original work, so I hope you enjoy watching it."
