The main visual for the NHK drama "The Path of Lila's Blooming Beasts" (Saturdays at 10pm), starring actress Anna Yamada, which will be broadcast in three parts from February 1st, has been released. The main visual is a cut that captures a moment on a ranch in the majestic nature of Hokkaido with Satori (Yamada), who is single-mindedly striving to become a veterinarian, and her classmates Ayaka (Touma Ami) and Zanyuki (Hagiwara Riku). It was also announced that Nishina's "Tsukushi" will be the theme song for the drama.
Nishina, who wrote the theme song, commented, "In creating this song, I actually visited the land and school where the original story was set. Being exposed to the vast nature and the activities of the people made me think, 'What is life?' I thought that we are extremely beautiful and strong creatures who continue to move forward as time continues to move forward, through good times and bad, and even though we worry about what is right and wrong, we face these challenges and continue to move forward, so I put my feelings into the song. I would be happy if it is a song that reminds people of their own strength and the presence of someone who gives them a push."
"The Path of the Lilac Flower Blooms" is a drama adaptation of the novel of the same name by Yoko Fujioka, winner of the 45th Eiji Yoshikawa Literary Newcomer Award. Set in Hokkaido, the story depicts the growth of a former recluse girl who faces challenges in her quest to become a veterinarian. The script is written by Fumie Mizuhashi, who has also worked on the network's serial drama "Scarlet" (2019 second half).
Also appearing in the film will be Kanta Sato, Shizuyo Yamazaki, Masahiro Komoto, Shizuka Ishibashi, and Jun Kazebuki.
