NHK's history program "History Detective" (General) will be broadcasting "Sengoku Local Daimyo Series: Tachibana Muneshige" from 10 pm on January 8th. The program will thoroughly investigate the secret behind the strength of Tachibana Muneshige, who was undefeated in his lifetime and is said to be the strongest in the Sengoku period. What emerges is his unfathomable intelligence and unique gun tactics that toyed with his enemies...

The program on this day will be the fifth in the series on local daimyo from the Sengoku period, and will focus on Tachibana Muneshige from Kyushu.

To discover the secret behind his undefeated life and the greatest strength of the Sengoku period, we investigate Fukuoka in detail. His castle, Tachibana Castle, and the golden helmet handed down in the Tachibana family reveal Muneshige's boundless intelligence. We also conduct an experiment to recreate the unique gun technique that overwhelmed his enemies. What is the key item, "Hayaai"?

In addition, the secret behind his miraculous return from deafness to feudal lord status in the latter half of his life will also be revealed. We will look into the true strength of Muneshige, who survived from the Warring States period to the Edo period.
