It has been revealed that actor Kusanagi Tsuyoshi Japan's Number One Jerk Salaryman" (Fuji TV, Thursdays at 10pm), starring Katori Shingo, which begins on January 9th. This will be the first time the two have appeared together in a TV drama in about 27 and a half years, since Katori made a guest appearance in the final episode of Kusanagi's first starring drama "Ii Hito" (Kantele/Fuji TV, 1997). Kusanagi will appear again as Washizu Toru, the main character he played in his own starring drama "Trap no Senso" (Kantele/Fuji TV, 2023).

This work marks Katori's first starring role in a Fuji TV drama series in 11 years. The story follows the protagonist Omori Ippei (Katori), a former TV newsman who is involved in a scandal and finds his life on the brink. He begins to wish to create a better society through raising his children, and decides to run for office in order to change Japan.

Kusanagi reflected on the filming of his co-starring with Katori, saying, "It was fun. Actually, in the drama 'Good Person,' which was my first lead role, Shingo appeared in just one scene in the final episode. I was remembering such nostalgic memories while filming. I was also happy to meet Yasuda (Ken) and (Hashimoto) Jun."

He then offered his encouragement, saying, "Katori Shingo, congratulations on starring in your first Fuji TV drama series in 11 years.
