Ren Nagase:New Year's visit to shrine with Daigo Nishihata & super public bath house Surprised by first experience of scrubbing but "it's a good start"

Ren Nagase of the popular group King & Prince appeared with Daigo Nishihata of Naniwa Danshi at the production announcement of the drama "Onzoshi ni Koi wa Muzusugiru" (Kantele/Fuji TV, Tuesdays at 11pm) in Tokyo on January 4th. When asked how he spent New Year's, Nagase said, "I had the day off until yesterday (the 3rd), and went to visit the shrine with Daigo and two friends, a total of four of us. I don't go out much during New Year's, but my friend asked me if I wanted to go out somewhere, so I invited Daigo and we went to visit the shrine, drew fortunes, and took a bath." He talked about how he spent the time with Nishihata, who is a close friend in private.

When asked by the MC what kind of bath it was, Nishihata replied, "It was a super public bath." Nagase responded, "I had a body scrub done. It was my first time, and it really hurt. It's a bit weird for an idol to talk about this so early in the new year, but (laughs)," and continued, "It felt so good, and I thought it was good luck so early in the new year, and I thought this year would be off to a good start."

Nishihata commented, "I didn't get the scrubbing type, but the hand massage type. It felt so good I fell asleep." He smiled and said, "The draft beer I had afterwards was really good. I really enjoyed the New Year."

Mizuki Yamashita said, "Because I was in the group Nogizaka46, I often appeared on music programs at the end of the year, so I didn't really experience New Year's," and added, "This year, I was able to watch music programs at home, and from the beginning of the year, I sang karaoke with the Nogizaka members all night long." It seems she enjoyed a different New Year's holiday than when she was in the group. Koseki Yuta and Kaga Takeshi also attended the press conference.

The drama is an original work by screenwriter Haruka Okita. Subaru Tendo (played by Nagase), the grandson of the president of a major apparel manufacturer, has been spoiled and lived a free-spirited life. He becomes a colleague of Madoka Hanakura (played by Mizuki Yamashita), who was born and raised in the exact opposite environment, and they work on making children's clothes. It is a romantic comedy in which he experiences his first failure and discovers true love. The drama will start on January 7th.
