Amazon's original drama "Oshi no Ko," which began streaming on November 28th, has become the most viewed Amazon original in Japan in the 30 days since its release (as of December).
The drama is a live-action adaptation of a popular manga (Shueisha) created jointly by Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari. It tells the story of the twin siblings Aqua and Ruby, left behind by the legendary idol Ai, and stars Kaito Sakurai Nagisa Saito as Ruby.
The film "Oshi no Ko: The Final Act", a live-action sequel to the drama, was made as a joint project between Amazon and Toei and has been in theaters since December 20th.
