Teppei, who had been fleeing from his pursuers and had been moving around the country, secretly met with Kensho. When Kensho asked him how long he would continue his life on the run, Teppei replied, "Until that person chasing me gives up. He's stubborn. I wish he'd die soon... just kidding."
Kensho, who revealed that he was planning to leave a record of Hashima Island, which had been decided to close, invited Teppei to write about him, saying, "I want to write about you, too. That there were field workers who worked for Hashima Island. I'd like your help." Teppei then took out his diary from his bag and handed it to Kensho, saying, "I've got something useful for you." "Please take this. It's heavy."
Meanwhile, the railroad crossing alarm begins to ring. As Teppei crosses the crossing alone and heads off into the distance, Kensho calls out to him, "As soon as you've found a place to live, send me a letter right away! Make sure it's before the mine closes. There will be no one left on Hashima, so even if you send a letter with my name on it, it won't get delivered!"
"Do you know where the head office is in Tokyo? My father is over there. I'll send him there..." Kensho exclaims. Teppei bids him farewell, saying, "Take good care of Yuriko (Tao Tsuchiya) and the kids! Take care."
Teppei replies to Kensho, who is crying, "Don't cry. You'll make me want to cry too!" Kensho swallows Teppei's feelings, saying, "It can't be helped! We're the Tekken Gang after all. We're not going to disband."
On social media, comments such as, "The scene where Teppei and Kensho part ways at the railroad crossing was really good," "Everyone was great, but Kensho was the best," "The scenes with Teppei and Kensho were incredibly amazing," "It was hard for Teppei, but it must have been hard for Kensho too, since he knew everything. I can only imagine how worried he must have been," "The exchange between Kensho and Teppei at the railroad crossing brought me to tears. Teppei's smile when he talked about the Tekken Gang was sad," and "I really love the Tekken Gang. They were each other's one and only trusted presence."
