A new theater banner visual for the latest movie version of the popular anime series "Doraemon : Doraemon: Nobita's Art World Tales," the 44th film in the series, has been released. The latest film is set in the Principality of Arturia, a world inside a painting. The visual depicts the present day where Doraemon and his friends live, separated by a single painting from the Principality of Arturia that lies beyond, expressing the beginning of a great adventure. The visual will be displayed in movie theaters nationwide from December 27th.
The visual shows Doraemon and friends heading to Arturia one after another, led by original characters Claire, a girl who adventures with Doraemon and friends, Milo, Claire's childhood friend and a boy with a talent for drawing, and Chai, a small winged demon. Doraemon, who has entered the world of the painting early, has transformed into a figure wearing a cloak, Nobita, who has jumped into the painting, has only his upper body changed, representing the moment when the two worlds intersect. The accompanying tagline reads, "The world will be vibrant with everyone's colors."
Five preview cuts were also released, including Doraemon and Nobita staring in amazement at something during their adventure, Doraemon and Doraemon arriving in the Principality of Arturia and gazing at Arturia Castle towering over the middle of nature, Claire holding her cheek with sparkling eyes and Chai looking surprised, and Chai desperately flapping his wings to carry Milo.
The latest film is the 45th anniversary work of the "Doraemon the Movie" series. The stage is "the world inside the painting", where Doraemon and Nobita and friends meet in the painting and face a powerful enemy over the phantom jewel. It will be directed by Teramoto Yukiyo, who directed the TV anime "Doraemon" and became the first female director of the series with "Doraemon the Movie: Nobita's New Great Adventure into the Underworld ~The Seven Magicians~" in 2007, and Ito Kimihito, who has written many screenplays for the TV anime "Doraemon", will be in charge of the script for the "Doraemon the Movie" series for the first time. It will be released on March 7, 2025.
