A special collaboration video between the new TV anime " Mashin Genesis Wataru Mashin Hero Wataru " and the TV anime "FAIRY TAIL 100 Year Quest", a sequel to the popular manga "FAIRY TAIL" by Hiro Mashima, has been released on YouTube. "FAIRY TAIL 100 Year Quest" is currently being broadcast on TV Tokyo every Sunday at 5:30 pm, and "Mashin Genesis Wataru" will start in the same time slot on January 12, 2025, so the baton handover video was released.
Featuring Natsu Dragneel from "FAIRY TAIL 100 Year Quest" and Hoshibe Wataru from "Mashin Genesis Wataru", the video features a conversation between Natsu and Wataru that transcends the boundaries of the works.
"Mashin Genesis Wataru" is said to be a "Wataru" series aimed at a "new generation," and the protagonist, Hoshibe Wataru, a fourth-grade elementary school student, will appear as a YouTuber aiming to become a superstar. Together with his partner Ryujinmaru, Wataru will embark on a "buzzworthy" adventure battle in Chubukai, a different world where blocks float.
Mutsumi Tamura will play Wataru, Tomokazu Sugita will play Ryujinmaru, Atsumi Tanezaki will play Atsumi Tanezaki, Katsuyuki Konishi Konishi will play Ofurain, Megu Umezawa will play Maro, and Rie Kugimiya will play Ryuryun. The film will be directed by Yumi Kamakura and produced by Bandai Namco Pictures.
