On March 19, Kochi Prefecture announced that Miho Nakazono , the screenwriter for the 2025 first-half NHK Asadora drama "Anpan, " and Ikue Nagata, the screenwriter for the 2023 first-half drama "Ranman," have been appointed as Kochi Prefecture Tourism Ambassadors. The appointment ceremonies for Ms. Nakazono were held on March 18 and for Ms. Nagata on March 19 at the Kochi Prefecture Tokyo Office (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo).
Both " Anpan" and "Ranman" are set in Kochi Prefecture. Because they greatly boosted Kochi Prefecture through their broadcasts and made a significant contribution to tourism, Ms. Nakazono and Ms. Nagata, along with Ken Kurazaki, the production supervisor of "Anpan," and Shunsuke Kawaguchi, the public relations producer, and Hirotaka Matsukawa, the production supervisor of "Ranman," and Takahisa Fujiwara, the PR development producer, were appointed as Kochi Prefecture Tourism Ambassadors.
Nakazono commented, "Kochi is fun, the food is delicious, and I really love it. It's also the birthplace of Takashi Yanase, so I feel like I've received his mission, and I'll do my best."
Nagata said, "I am very grateful to Kochi. The people are warm, and the relationship between people and nature is just right. 'Ranman' is a work that I was able to create because I received so much energy from Kochi. I want to continue to convey the charm of Kochi."
A leaflet featuring locations associated with the anime series "Ranman" and "Anpan" has also been completed and unveiled.
