The final episode of the TBS Sunday Theatre drama " Diamonds Sleeping in the Sea " (Sunday 9:00 pm), starring actor Ryunosuke Kamiki , was broadcast on December 22nd. The scene in which Teppei (Kamiki) proposes to Asako ( Hana Sugisaki Hana) became a hot topic on social media.

Together with Reo (Kamiki, playing a dual role), Izumi (Nobuko Miyamoto) visits the house where Teppei used to live in Nomozaki, Nagasaki. The garden is filled with cosmos flowers, which are a memory of Teppei and Asako, and Hashima Island can be seen across the sea.
Captivated by the sight, Izumi reminisces about her beloved days on Hashima and says, "Everyone is gone, but they're still here. Everyone is sleeping inside of me."
In Izumi's mind... When Asako asks her, "How was my life?", Izumi answers, "Asako, you see, I lived my life to the fullest." Then Teppei arrives.
"Sorry to keep you waiting," Teppei says, and Asako replies, "I'm tired of waiting." In the midst of all this, Teppei proposes, "Asako, will you marry me?" Asako replies, "Yes."
