Jump Rookie!, a manga submission and publishing platform operated by the editorial department of Shueisha's manga app Shonen Jump+, celebrated its 10th anniversary on November 28th. To commemorate the 10th anniversary, interviews with former Jump Rookie! author Kuwahari of Futsuu no Keionbu, author Chiba Yuuki of Youchien WARS, and service development and management staff will be published on a special blog on the site starting December 7th.
There will also be a giveaway event where a commemorative booklet that chronicles the 10 years of "Jump Rookie!", "Jump Rookie! 10th Anniversary Book," and a set of special stickers will be given away. 50 people will be chosen at random from among those who have registered an account with a "Jump Rookie!". The commemorative booklet includes a manga essay by Kuwahari about his memories from the time he submitted his work until his debut, a project that looks back on the service's cumulative number of submitters and cumulative views in numbers, the results of a survey of submitting users, a list of works that have been serialized on "Shonen Jump+" or have been serialized as an indie manga, and a list of winners of the "Monthly Rookie Award," summarizing the service's progress over the past 10 years.
Jump Rookie! is a manga submission and publishing platform that began accepting submissions at the same time as the launch of Shonen Jump+ on September 22, 2014. In the 10 years since it opened, about 70,000 works and 270,000 chapters have been submitted. Authors who have come from Jump Rookie! include Taizan5 of "Tacopee no Genzai," Sumiyoshi Kyu of "Hyperinflation," Kuwahari of "Futsuu no Keionbu," Deuchi Tetsuo, Vein, the original author of "Marriage Toxin," Chiba of "Youchien WARS," Angyaman of "Ramen Akaneko," and Momoyo Wataru of "Romantic Killer." Many popular authors are currently serializing their works on Shonen Jump+ or have previously serialized their works.
