The eighth episode of the drama series "Jaa, Anta ga Tsukutte Miro yo It" (TBS, Tuesdays at 10 PM), starring actors Kaho and Takeuchi Ryoma, aired on November 25th, and it was revealed that the average viewership rating (according to Video Research, Kanto region, same below) was 7.9% for households and 4.7% for individuals. This is a significant recovery from the 6.7% for households and 3.8% for individual viewers of the seventh episode last week, which started 20 minutes later than usual at 10:20 PM. The individual viewership rating of 4.7% for episode 8 is the highest figure for the show.
The drama is based on the manga of the same name by Natsuko Taniguchi, which is currently being serialized in the digital comic magazine "Comic Tanto" (Bunkasha). It is a romantic comedy about a girlfriend (Kaho) who has lost herself in putting her lover first, and her boyfriend (Takeuchi), who has a patriarchal mentality and believes that women should cook, and how they rekindle their relationship after a breakup. The script was written by Kei Ando, head of the Ampersand Theatre Company, who won the Kishida Kunio Drama Award for "Even if you don't walk, you'll hit a stick."
Episode 8 was titled "Fossil Mother Comes!" and aired. Katsuo (played by Takeuchi) is visited by his mother. Though worried, he comes up with a plan to help his mother, who is taking so long to return home. Meanwhile, Ayumi (played by Kaho) decides to cook for a festival at Taihei's (played by Raku Kakeru) bar.
