The interim results of the "Global Gundam General Election 2025," a voting project for the popular anime series "Gundam," have been announced, revealing the 20 mobile suits competing for the top 20 spots. The G-Self (Reconguista in G), Z Gundam (Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam), Turn A Gundam (Turn A Gundam), Strike Freedom Gundam (Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY), and Nu Gundam (Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack) are among the mobile suits competing for the top 20 spots.
The official website also published recommendation comments from 13 past cast members, including Tomoyo Kurosawa, who played Amate Yuzuriha in Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX, Megumi Hayashibara(who played Christina Mackenzie in Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket), and Daisuke Sakaguchi (who played Uso Evin in Mobile Suit Victory Gundam).
The project involves voting for your "favorite Gundam," and covers Gundam types from the Universal Century and Alternative series, as well as units bearing the Gundam name. It is the first Gundam series project to support 10 languages. Voting began on October 10th to commemorate the reopening of the portal site Gundam.info as the GUNDAM Official Website. Each person can cast one vote per day until December 25th. Voting data collected from around the world will be compiled, and rankings by language and a global ranking will be announced. A newly drawn illustration of the Gundam that takes first place will be released.
