Snow has fallen in Tsukumoya Town, signaling that winter is fast approaching.
Kanoko Urabe (Matsumoto), an assistant at the detective agency of Souma Iwai (Suzuka), sends an envelope to her mother, Fumi (Mayumi Wakamura). Although she has sent letters to update her on her current situation, this is the first time she has written the address of her agency. Souma realizes that Kanoko is waiting for a reply.
One day, when Kanoko meets Kurata Taro (Shibuya Soraji-kun), he asks her, "What did you ask Santa Claus for?" "Santa Claus?" Kanoko asks. Taro learns that Kanoko has never celebrated Christmas. Taro suggests to his mother Yoshie (Isoyama Sayaka) that they hold a Christmas party for Kanoko at "Kurata".
