It has been announced that the anime "A Piece of Cake" will be included in the "Plus Ultra Edition" Blu-ray Disc (BD) and DVD of the latest movie version of "My Hero Academia", the anime based on the manga by Kohei Horikoshi serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha). The manga drawn by Horikoshi will be animated. A cut showing the comical appearance of the members of Class 1-A of the Hero Department of U.A. High School was also released. The latest movie version is set in the same timeline as the 7th season of the TV anime, and a major incident that will shake the world unfolds just before the final battle between Deku and the other heroes and the villains. Miyake Kenta, who plays the hero All Might, plays the role of Dark Might, the villain who looks just like All Might. Guest voice actors include Ikumi Meru and Miyano Mamoru. It was released on August 2nd, and attracted an audience of about 2.48 million people, earning about 3.55 billion yen in box office revenue. It was the most successful movie of the series to date. The Blu-ray and DVD will be released on February 19th, 2025. "My Hero Academia" began serialization in "Weekly Shonen Jump" in July 2014. The final episode was released on August 5th in the combined 36th and 37th issue of the magazine, bringing the curtain down on the 10-year serialization. Set in a world where about 80% of the population has supernatural powers and personalities, the story depicts Deku, also known as Izuku Midoriya, as he strives to become the best hero. The comics have sold over 100 million copies worldwide. It has also been announced that the eighth and final season of the TV anime, "FINAL SEASON," will be produced and aired in 2025.
