The 33rd episode of the second season of the new TV anime "Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Swordsman Romantic Story," "Kyoto Uprising," based on the popular manga by Nobuhiro Watsuki, "The Forbidden Draw," will be broadcast on Fuji TV's late-night anime slot "Noitamina" and other channels from November 28th. Among the Ten Swords, Zhang is known as a "Sword Hunter" and wields a number of strange swords. Kenshin, who fights with a broken sword, has a hard time, but he continues to fight at the risk of his life for Sora's son, Iori, and for the peace of a new era. Moved by Kenshin's words, "It is not the 'sword' that creates the era, but the 'people' who use it," Sora finally decides to entrust his last sword to Kenshin. "Rurouni Kenshin" is a popular manga that was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from 1994 to 1999. It depicts Himura Kenshin, who was feared as a Battousai assassin during the late Edo period, as a wanderer who vowed not to kill after the Meiji Restoration, searching for a way to live in a new era. A new chapter, "Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Swordsman Romantic Story Hokkaido Arc", has been serialized in the monthly manga magazine "Jump SQ." (Shueisha) since 2017. The new anime will be fully supervised by the original author Watsuki from the character design to the scenario, and will reconstruct the original work from the first episode. The first season aired from July to December 2023.
