A collaboration campaign between the anime "Mashle," based on the manga by Komoto Hajime that was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha), and the conveyor belt sushi chain "Kura Sushi" will begin on November 29th. This is the first time that Kura Sushi has collaborated with the anime, and rubber accessories (6 types in total) with illustrations of Mash and other characters sitting side by side on a plate will be available as prizes for the "Bikkura Pon" game installed in the store. Other prizes include can badges (9 types in total) and acrylic stickers (6 types in total).
There will also be a campaign where for every 2,500 yen spent, you can win an original A4 clear file with an illustration drawn exclusively for Kura Sushi, and a 2025 calendar featuring famous scenes from the anime. The first round will start on November 29th, and the second round on December 13th.
"Mashle" was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" from January 2020 to July 2023. Set in a magical world, the story follows Mash Burndead, a boy who cannot use magic, who enrolls in a magic school and aims to become the best using the power of his well-trained muscles. The comics have sold over 10 million copies in total.
The first season of the TV anime aired from April to June 2023, and the second season from January to March 2024. The opening theme for the second season, "Bling-Bang-Bang-Born," sung by hip-hop unit Creepy Nuts, was a hit and became a hot topic. It has also been announced that a sequel to the anime will be produced.
