It has been announced that Agazawa Kocha's manga "The Opposite You and Me," currently being serialized on Shueisha's manga app "Shonen Jump+," will be adapted into a TV anime series and will begin airing in January 2026. The anime will be produced by Lapin Track, which has also produced "The Little Citizen Series" and "Undead Girl Murderfalse."
Agazawa, the original author, commented, "It has been decided that 'The Opposite You and Me' will be adapted into an anime!! Suzuki and Tani will move and talk...! Really? The broadcast is still a while away, but I am looking forward to it more than anyone else. I hope to deliver a 'cute' anime to both those who have supported us so far and those who are experiencing it for the first time through the anime."
The series is a romantic comedy that depicts the love story between Suzuki, a lively girl who is good at reading the atmosphere, and Tani, a quiet boy who can clearly express his opinions. The total number of copies of the comics, including the digital version, published is over 1.35 million.
