The light novel "The Misunderstood Workshop Owner: A Common Story About a Former Errand Boy for a Hero Party Who Was Actually SSS-Rank in Everything Except Combat," which won the Reader's Choice Award at the Alphapolis Fantasy Novel Awards, has been adapted into a TV anime and will begin airing in April 2025. It will be directed by Ishii Hisashi and produced by EMT Squared. It was also announced that Komatsu Mikako will play Kurt, Seto Asami will play Yurishia, and Tanaka Minami will play Liselotte.
The series began serialization online in August 2018. A boy named Kurt, who has the highest SSS rank in all areas except combat, is fired from the hero party because he is "useless," but unconsciously drags those around him into it, saving people, towns, and even the country... This is a slapstick fantasy.
