Hinano Kamimura, a member of the idol group Hinatazaka46, has been announced to appear in Fuji TV's "Monday 9" drama "Usotoki Rhetoric" (Mondays at 9pm). She will appear as a maid in the second episode, which will air on October 14th, sporting a retro Showa-era look. This will be Uemura's first appearance in a Fuji TV drama.
The drama stars Suzuka Oji and Matsumoto Honoka, and follows the duo of Iwai Souma (Suzuka), a poor detective with a sharp eye but drowning in debt, and Urabe Kanoko (Matsumoto), who has the ability to hear and spot lies, as they solve difficult cases.
In the second episode, in which Uemura appears, a mysterious incident occurs, centering around Chiyo (Katayama Yuki), the daughter of the Fujishima family. The maid who serves the Fujishima family, played by Uemura, also becomes embroiled in the incident.
Uemura commented, "I'm very happy to be making my first appearance in a drama in Fuji TV's historic Monday 9pm slot. The role I'm playing this time is that of a maid from the early Showa period, so I had my hair tied up in the style of the time and approached the filming with a fresh style. I hope viewers will tune in to see what kind of story unfolds at the Fujishima residence, with the two main characters at the center, and be drawn into the world of the story!"
