It has been announced that a collaboration between Kanda Shrine (Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo) and Hinata Natsu's light novel "The Apothecary Diaries," which originated from the novel submission site "Let's Become a Novelist," will be held at the Kanda Shrine Museum from November 2nd to 24th. A collaboration visual drawn by Shino Touko, who is responsible for the illustrations of the work, has been released. With Kanda Shrine in the background, it depicts Maomao dressed as a shrine maiden, Jinshi dressed in kimono, and Sukunahikona no Mikoto, the deity enshrined at Kanda Shrine's Ninomiya, who is also known as the god of medicine.

In addition to the collaboration visual, the novel's cover art, a high-definition digital color framed frontispiece, an ukiyo-e print of Sukunahikona no Mikoto from Kanda Shrine's collection, and historical materials will be on display. EDOCCO SHOP IKIIKI on the first floor of Kanda Shrine's Cultural Exchange Center will sell original goods using the newly drawn illustrations.

The light novel version of "The Apothecary Diaries" is published by Hero Bunko (Imagine Infos), and its comic book adaptation has also gained popularity. The original series has sold over 38 million copies in total. The story is set in the glamorous harem of a certain continent, where Nekoneko, a young poison taster, becomes embroiled in an incident that takes place in the harem, which is full of conspiracies and rumors, together with the handsome eunuch Jinshi.

The first season of the TV anime aired on Nippon TV from October 2023 to March 2024. It has also been announced that a second season will be produced and will air in 2025.
