The 32nd episode of the NHK Taiga drama " UNBOUND (Berabou) " (General TV, Sunday 8pm and others), starring actor Ryusei Yokohama , entitled "Shinnosuke no Gi" (Shinnosuke's Righteousness), was broadcast on August 24th. In the episode, Tokugawa Harusada, played by Takahashi Hideki, was depicted scolding Hitotsubashi Harusada, played by Ikuta Toma, much to the delight of viewers.
"UNBOUND (Berabou)" is the 64th taiga drama and depicts the life of Tsutaya Juzaburo(or "Tsutajyu" for short), who is said to have laid the foundations for Japan's media industry and pop culture. The script was written by Yoshiko Morishita, who is known for her work on the highly talked-about "Drama 10: Ooku," which aired on NHK two years ago.
In the 32nd episode, the three main families submit a letter of opinion recommending Sadanobu (Inoue Yuki) as the new senior councilor, but Mizuno Tadatomo (Komatsu Kazushige) and Matsudaira Yasufuku (Aijima Kazuyuki) from the Tanuma faction work hard to get Okitsugu(Ken Watanabe), who continues to be suspended, back into the castle, and Okitsugu is once again allowed to enter the castle.
Meanwhile, Tsutaju (Yokohama) visits Shinnosuke and learns that relief rice has been distributed.
Tsutae explains that this is because Okitsugu's measures have been successful, but the residents of the tenement house are bombarded with anger and resentment towards him for having gained advantages during Tanuma's time...and so the story unfolds.
Harusada is somewhat dissatisfied with the work of Harusada, the father of the next shogun, Ienari (played by Jō Kairi). One day, he hears from Tadatomo that Sadanobu, a relative of the shogun family, cannot become a senior councilor due to a "decree" in Ieshige's will. Harusada then disrespectfully retorts, "Huh... Ieshige? We can just forget about that decision. It's nothing." and tries to go ahead with things on his own.
Furthermore, Harusada went so far as to say, "I'm the one who said you can break the rules of the previous Shogun families, so break them," but even though he was the father of the next Shogun, this was an act of exceeding his authority. Harusada, unable to bear the sight, shouted, "How unseemly!", shutting Harusada up.
Viewers immediately responded on social media, with comments such as "Wow, Hideki is so cool!", "Wow, Hideki Takahashi Hideki Takahashi has such dignity," "Kishu's Hideki Takahashi is amazing...
