The final trailer for the original animated feature film "Furu." directed by Nagasaki Tatsuyuki, known for popular anime such as "Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day" and "Kokoro ga Sakebitagatterunda.", has been released on YouTube. The film depicts how the friendship between Aki, Ryo, and Yuta, who have been best friends ever since childhood, is connected by the mysterious creature "Furu.", changes as another power hidden in "Furu." At the end, a scene is depicted in which Aki utters the meaningful words, "I cheated, I'm sorry," and a pure white "Furu" appears.
"Furu." was written by Mari Okada, who also wrote the script for "Anohana," "Kokoro ga Sakebitagatterunda," and "Her Blue Sky," with character design by Masayoshi Tanaka, and the creative team "Super Peace Busters" reunited. It was produced by CloverWorks.
The story is about childhood friends Onoda Aki, Sobue Ryo, and Inohara Yuta, who grew up on the same island, who move to Tokyo at the age of 20 and start living together in Takadanobaba, Tokyo. Aki works part-time at a bar, Ryo is a recent graduate at a real estate company, and Yuta is a vocational school student aspiring to become a fashion designer. Although their lives are all different, their hearts are always connected by the special power of "touch," and each of their words flow to them without them having to speak. The friendship between the three men, bound by "touch," changes due to a hidden "another power." The protagonists Aki, Ryo, and Yuta are played by Nagase Ren, Bando Ryuta, and Maeda Kentaro, respectively. It was released on October 4th.
