Iida Hikaru, the voice actress who plays Fujita Kotone in the smartphone app "Gakuen Idolmaster" from the popular "Idolmaster (iM@S)" series, appeared in issue 44 of the manga magazine "Weekly Shonen Champion" (Akita Shoten), released on October 3rd. This is Iida's first time appearing in a gravure spread.
The same issue also saw the start of serialization of "Gakuen Idolmaster GOLD RUSH," a comic adaptation of "Gakuen Idolmaster." The comic adaptation is written and composed (named) by Inotani Kotoba, who also worked on "Laughing at the Runway," and illustrated by newcomer Okino Yuu.
The editor in charge commented, "The Gakumasu manga, which has been in the works since before the game was released, is finally starting! The original story, which is unique to the manga and is set in a different setting from the game, will be enjoyable not only for game fans, but also for those who will be coming into contact with Gakumasu in the future. I hope you enjoy the manga version of Gakumasu."
