The Japanese version of the trailer for Mobile Suit Gundam: Requiem of Revenge, a popular anime series from the Gundam series, has been released on YouTube. The overwhelmingly powerful "white devil" Gundam EX appears. The protagonist, Ilia Solari, is shown saying, "I'll stop Gundam!" as she fights back in her Unidentified Zaku II (Solaris's machine). It was also revealed that Nanako Mori will be the voice actor for Ilia Solari in the Japanese version.
The Japanese version will also feature Shoya Ishige as Niland LeShawn, Shunichi Maki as Reed Gelfi (Chavs), Ryunosuke Watanuki as Kayle Zavaleta, Ryojo Hara as Ander Heaton, Takeo Otsuka as Oni Kasuga, Maki Kawase as Hayley Arfun, and Hiroshi Naka as Alfie Zydos (Gearhead).
The story begins 11 months after the outbreak of the One Year War, when one of the bases under Zeon occupation in Eastern Europe is seized by the Earth Federation Forces, and a mixed battalion including Illya Solari and the Red Wolf Squad, who have just come down from space, heads out to recapture it... The film is produced by Bandai Namco Filmworks and SAFEHOUSE. It will be released worldwide exclusively on Netflix on October 17th.
