Continuation of interview (1). The TV anime "Acro Trip," based on the manga by Sawada Yone that was serialized in "Ribon" (Shueisha), will be broadcast on TOKYO MX, BS Nippon TV and other stations from October 2nd. We asked Ito Miku, who plays Chizuko, and Minase Inori, who plays the magical girl Berry Blossom/Noichigo Kasumi, about their impressions of each other as actors and their favorite characters.

◇Ito Miku's sharp comments are new!

--What did you feel while acting together?

Minase: Chizuko is a girl who is straightforward about what she likes, and her "likes" are her driving force. Miku has declared that she likes special effects, and like me, my eyes light up when we talk about what we "like." I had a lot of fun acting with her, as we synchronized with each other and thought that this is probably how Miku would talk about the things she likes. Personally, I have always had the image of Miku as a gentle character, someone who is always the one being pointed out, so I thought it was new to see her sharply pointing out things! There seems to be a lot of demand for this character! That's what I thought as a fan.

Ito: Inori's Berry Blossom is always cute and unwavering. She's just so pure. The people around her are all so unique and lively, so if it were me, I would probably get pulled in by that excitement, but I got the impression that she was always there as Berry Blossom. Berry Blossom and Chroma often ad-lib their gags, but their ability to react and improvise in an instant is amazing!

 Minase: I'm happy!

--What are your impressions of each other as actors?

Minase: We're only one year apart in age, but I wonder if she's nervous because she thinks of you as her older sister? She's doing her best! I can feel Miku's emotional movements from behind her. I get nervous and have anxiety too, but I wonder if I can be there for her. But not just in this work, but when I see Miku's evolution, I feel that she is very reliable and is pulling me along. I think to myself, she's grown up!

Ito It's embarrassing!

Minase This work was also stimulating, and I was able to discover new things, like, "Oh, Miku can throw a ball like this too!", and it was fun.

Ito I'm happy! I've been acting with Inori-chan since her debut, and I've always thought of her as an older sister, but now she's bigger and more reliable, and I rely on her a lot. I feel a great sense of security. As an actor, she is very polite, and her behavior on set and her acting are cool.

Minase Miku is the main character, and I felt that the gentle and warm atmosphere on set this time was only possible because of Miku. The seniors were also enjoying it, saying "It's fun!", and the power of the work and Miku combined to make it a really good set.

◇A work that makes your idol activities even more fun

--Who did you look up to as a child?

Ito Always special effects.

Minase Do you want to be a hero?

Ito When I was a child, I wanted to be a hero. When I grew up, my feelings changed and I wanted to be the one who was protected. But my idol has never changed.

Minase I had different characters at school and at home. At school, I was a ninja. I would run down the nearby mountain (laughs). Actually, I wanted to be a princess, but I wasn't that kind of character at school, so I couldn't say it... At home, I wore a princess dress, and when I got in my dad's car, I imagined I was riding in a pumpkin carriage.

--Now, you two are in the position of being promoted...

Ito: As someone who is being supported, when I receive praise or hear people say things like "I'll go to your event!" or "I saw it!", it makes me want to do my best! It gives me energy. As a supporter, it makes the world sparkle and shine, and just thinking about the work makes me happy, so it also gives me energy for my work. Minase: I also think that fans and their favorites are like mirrors. I have favorites too, and they're working hard, so I can't complain... I think they should be far away, but their messages reach my heart, and there are times when I feel that we're very close, not just physically, but emotionally. I want my favorite artists to think that they're proud of their fans, so of course I enjoy it, but it also has the effect of making me think about other people. With that in mind, "ACROTRIP" is a work that makes supporting your favorite artist even more fun!
