An event for "Expelled from Paradise: Resonance of the Heart," the new installment of the animated film series "Expelled from Paradise," which premiered in November 2014, was held on March 29th at the Aniplex booth at "AnimeJapan 2026" at Tokyo Big Sight (Koto Ward, Tokyo). The event featured Ayane Sakura(voice of Gabriel), Saori Hayami ( voice of Alma), Yoshino Aoyama(voice of Danel), and Sally Amaki (voice of Raguel).
The new film is generating buzz because it brings together the same staff, including director Seiji Mizushima, screenwriter Gen Urobuchi, character designer Masashi Saito, and composer NARASAKI. It will be released on November 13th.
Hayami said, "I feel nervous and excited about how to portray the 'expulsion from paradise' in the present day. I want to give it my all." Amagi said, "When I was told I had been cast, I cried tears of joy, then broke out in a cold sweat. I was so happy that I wanted to give it my all."
At the event, the fourth teaser PV was unveiled, with Sakura commenting, "Seeing the characters in motion, their personalities are finally becoming clear," Aoyama saying, "The mecha action is incredibly cool. I want to see more," and Hayami reading the synopsis and saying, "There are so many intriguing words!"
Director Mizushima appeared as a secret guest and commented on the released PV, saying, "It introduces more characters and actions than ever before. But there are still a lot I can't say." Regarding the new mecha, Mega Arhan, drawn by mechanical designer Kanetake Ebikawa, he revealed, "It's bright red. In the main story, it will look even cooler and more outrageous."
Finally, Sakura stated emphatically, "The story deals with themes such as justice, conviction, and AI, and it delves into the realities of the world. I hope that not only fans of the previous work, but also new viewers will watch it."
