It has been announced that, as the fifth and final bonus for moviegoers of the animated film "Look Back" (directed by Oshiyama Kiyotaka), based on a manga by Fujimoto Tatsuki, known for works such as "Chainsaw Man," a reproduction colored paper with an original illustration by the original author Fujimoto and director Oshiyama will be given away from October 4th. The colored paper features illustrations of Fujino and Kyomoto, with Fujimoto drawing a four-panel comic and Oshiyama drawing a charming Kyomoto gazing with amusement at Fujino's manga.

It has also been announced that "Look Back" will be officially entered into the animation category of the 37th Tokyo International Film Festival (TIFF), which will be held from October 28th. A special screening will be held at Kadokawa Cinema Yurakucho (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) on November 2nd and at TOHO Cinemas Hibiya (same) on November 3rd. A stage greeting will be held on November 2nd, with Director Oshiyama, Kawai Yumi, the voice actor of the main character Fujino, and Yoshida Mizuki, who plays Kyomoto, taking to the stage.

"Look Back" was released in July 2021 on Shueisha's manga app "Shonen Jump +" and recorded over 2.5 million views on the first day. It was chosen as the No. 1 manga in the boys' category of "This Manga is Amazing! 2022" and was also nominated for the "Manga Taisho 2022" awards, which became a hot topic. The story is about two girls who are united by their single-minded passion for manga, but then an event occurs that shatters everything... Fujino, a fourth-grader who serializes a four-panel manga in the student newspaper, is praised by her classmates, but her teacher tells her that "I want to publish a four-panel manga about her classmate Kyomoto, who is a school dropout."

The anime will be directed by Oshiyama, who has worked as a key staff member on films such as "Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance," "The Secret World of Arrietty," and "The Wind Rises," and will also be in charge of the script and character design. Studio Dorian, of which Oshiyama is the representative, will produce the anime.

The film was released in 119 theaters on June 28th, and ranked first in the box office revenue rankings in its opening week. Despite not being a large-scale screening, word of mouth spread and the number of viewers exceeded one million by August 18th, making it a hit.
