It has been announced that TV Asahi's new Sunday night program "Udo Times" (Sundays 8:56pm to 10:15pm), hosted by freelance announcer Udo Yumiko, will start on October 6th. The first episode will be an extended special, running for about 90 minutes from 8:56pm to 10:30pm.

Regular cast members have also been announced, including former professional beach volleyball player Asao Miwa, who was nicknamed the "beach fairy" during her active career, who will be in charge of the sports section. Weather forecasts will be provided by Kataoka Nobukazu, who is well known for his weekday morning show "Hatori Shinichi Morning Show." Kataoka, who performs "weather stretches" in the morning, will also be playing the piano on "Udo Times," making for a unique weather forecast delivered with singing and playing the piano.

Regular commentator will be Chijiwa Morio, who is TV Asahi's political department's official residence reporter. Additionally, Tamagawa Toru, who is well known for his role on "Hatori Shinichi Morning Show," will also appear as a semi-regular commentator (irregular appearances). This will be the first time that Udow and Tamagawa have worked together on the show, and they will do so in the first episode. TV Asahi announcers Ki Maya, Takekuma Mitsuki, and Yamamoto Yukino will also appear and will co-host the show with Udow. The theme song for the show will be written by world-renowned violinist Hakase Taro.

The first episode, titled "Nasu D Adventure," will feature Udow and TV Asahi director Tomoyose Takahide, known as "Nasu D," teaming up to visit the Grand Circle in the United States, which is full of spectacular and bizarre scenery. They will get up close and personal with the dynamic art created by Mother Nature over the years and the mysterious sights that continue to change shape due to erosion.

In the news corner, live coverage from the site will cover the latest political developments following the results of the LDP presidential election, as well as the latest developments in the US presidential election, which has been in uproar following the second assassination attempt on former President Trump.
